The existing house was in dire need of repair and the layout, effectively turned its back on an incredible view of Great Pond in Southold, New York.
Reusing the existing foundation and select elements of the existing structure, Berg Design worked closely with the client to create a highly transparent modern shed with seamless indoor/outdoor living areas.
A second floor deck on the North side of the house allows for never before realized views of Long Island sound. Deep overhangs and a wood screen protect the South side of the building from glare while expansive glazing affords panoramic views of the pond.
